The meeting focused on key aspects of training toolkit development, platform accessibility, and the design of the project’s collaborative infrastructure.

Training Toolkit and Lab Prototypes

Uninova presented the methodology for developing training toolkits, showcasing the sensors and infrastructure of NOVA’s e-health model, which serves as a valuable resource for both students and professors. Practical examples for arranging and preparing toolkits for a smart lab were also provided. Tel Aviv University (TAU) committed to developing a prototype model for teaching and learning within the lab environment.

Accessibility and Platform Design

The meeting addressed crucial accessibility considerations, with the National University of Distance Education (UNED) presenting A3, outlining accessibility criteria for the platform interface. Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM) also presented updates on Intellectual Output 2 (IO2) and Activities 3 & 4 (A3&4).

Discussions regarding the platform’s grid design and collaboration structure were led by TAU, who proposed a questionnaire to determine whether components should be centralized or individualized. NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA) presented a model for open collaboration and provided updates on the accessibility toolkit and software specifications. NOVA also confirmed their readiness to prepare for training and testing the interconnected smart lab, and shared details about their catalogue of courses.
